Write to your council
A letter to your local council about a service or a problem, saying what has happened and what you want the council to do.
Do this in chat: answer two or three questions and your agent writes it, then change it by asking.
What you type stays on this device: OpenMap doesn’t see it or keep it.
What the law says
- Every council has a complaints procedure. You can ask for your letter to be dealt with as a formal complaint.
- If you are still unhappy when the council’s procedure has finished, the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (in England) can look at it for free.
Free, impartial help:
This is not legal advice. You check the letter and send it yourself. OpenMap never sends it, files a claim for you or takes any share of money you get back.
