Acceptable Use Policy
The rules for using OpenMap and its AI agent. They are part of the Terms of Use.
Version 1.0 · Last updated 19 October 2026
The short version
- Nothing illegal, harmful, hateful or fraudulent.
- Don’t misuse the agent: no deceiving people, no getting round its stops.
- Only use accounts, sites and data you’re allowed to.
- No scraping, copying, overloading or reverse engineering OpenMap.
1. Illegal and harmful activity
Don’t use OpenMap, or ask the agent, to:
- break the law, or plan, buy, sell or arrange anything illegal (including weapons, controlled drugs, stolen goods or counterfeit items);
- defraud, scam, phish or mislead anyone, or launder money;
- harass, threaten, stalk, bully or intimidate anyone, or share someone’s private details or intimate images without consent;
- post or seek content that sexually exploits children, promotes terrorism, or encourages self-harm or suicide; or
- discriminate against anyone, or post hateful content, because of a protected characteristic.
2. Using the agent
- Don’t ask the agent to pretend to be a human, to be you without saying it’s an AI, or to be someone else.
- Don’t try to get round its stops, approvals, limits or safety checks, or to make it ignore its instructions (for example with hidden instructions in a page or file).
- Don’t use it to send spam, bulk or unsolicited messages, or to contact people who’ve asked not to be contacted.
- Don’t use it to buy, book or order for anyone without their permission, or to make fake bookings or enquiries.
- Don’t use it for high-risk decisions about people (such as employment, credit or housing decisions) or anything that needs a licence it doesn’t have.
3. Accounts, sites and data
- Only use accounts, sites and data you have the right to use. Don’t share your account, or use someone else’s.
- Don’t ask the agent to break another site’s terms, get past CAPTCHAs or other bot checks, or access anything behind a sign-in that isn’t yours.
- Don’t collect other people’s personal data from OpenMap.
4. Protecting OpenMap
- No scraping, crawling, harvesting or copying of OpenMap’s content, listings or data, by any automated means, except through an interface we offer for that and within its terms.
- No overloading, probing or attacking our systems, no malware, and no reverse engineering, except as the law allows.
- Don’t build a competing service from OpenMap’s content or data.
- Found a security problem? Tell us at support@openmap.ai and don’t exploit it.
5. What happens if these rules are broken
We may remove content, stop a task, limit features, or suspend or close an account, and we may report illegal activity to the police or another authority. See the Terms of Use.
