How it works

When are earnings paid?
Payouts start when paid plans go live. Until then we track what you’ve earned, from day one. We’ll publish how and when payouts work, and any tax information you need, before the first one.
How does OpenMap know a business came from me?
You get a personal link and code. When someone opens your link, your code stays with them while they use OpenMap’s home, For businesses, Find your company, Pricing and Partners pages, so we don’t need a cookie (we don’t set one for this unless our privacy notice says we do). If they create a new OpenMap account during that visit, using Join, Log in, the question box or Find my company, it’s linked to you once, when they sign up. If they come back later without your link, we can’t tell they came from you. People who already had an account aren’t linked. The first partner link used wins, and it’s never changed later. A business counts as yours when that account sets it up: joining a business that was already on OpenMap doesn’t count.
What if a business stops paying?
You only earn on payments OpenMap actually receives. If a business cancels, stops paying or is refunded, there’s nothing to share for that time, and a refunded share is taken off before any payout. The 12 months are counted from the business’s first paid invoice.
Can I refer myself?
No. Your own account can’t use your code, and you don’t earn from a business you run.
