Make a complaint to a company
A clear complaint to a business or organisation: what went wrong, what you want them to do to put it right, and by when.
Do this in chat: answer two or three questions and your agent writes it, then change it by asking.
What you type stays on this device: OpenMap doesn’t see it or keep it.
What the law says
- Say what went wrong, what you want them to do, and by when. Keep a copy of your letter and any reply, with dates.
- Many businesses have a complaints process: ask for your letter to be dealt with under it.
- For energy, phones and broadband, and banking, a free ombudsman can usually look at your complaint if it isn’t sorted within 8 weeks.
Free, impartial help:
This is not legal advice. You check the letter and send it yourself. OpenMap never sends it, files a claim for you or takes any share of money you get back.
