Get quotes for a job
Describe the job once; your agent finds up to three providers on OpenMap, you check one request, and it goes to all of them in one step. Their replies and quotes line up side by side.
What you get
- One request, sent to up to three providers
- Replies and quotes side by side
- A polite note to the providers you don’t choose
Check the request and tap Send. Your budget isn’t shown in your request. You can send 3 quote requests a day.
What your agent does
- Turns your description into one clear request: the job, where, when, and photos if you add them.
- Finds up to three providers on OpenMap who cover your area, and offers to look further afield if there are fewer.
- Shows you who it goes to and what it says, so you can untick anyone and edit the wording.
- Sends it to them all in one step when you tap Send, then shows each reply and quote side by side.
- When you choose one, it thanks the others and closes their requests.
Before you hand it over.
Will providers see my budget?
It isn’t in the request they read. But if a provider has set their own price rules on OpenMap, their agent can suggest a price within your budget, and that suggestion may be your budget itself. Only give a budget you’re happy to pay.
Does it send the requests automatically?
No. Nothing is sent until you tap Send, and you choose who it goes to.
What if it finds fewer than three providers?
It tells you and offers to look further afield. You can also send to one or two.
Can it get insurance, mortgage or loan quotes?
No. Insurance, mortgages, loans and credit, pensions, investments, energy switching and claims are regulated, and OpenMap does not arrange or compare them. MoneyHelper (moneyhelper.org.uk) has free, impartial guidance. This is not advice.
