Find a care home or home care
Your agent finds care homes or home care services near you with their latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating and a link to each inspection report.
What you get
- Care services near you
- Latest CQC ratings and dates
- Links to inspection reports
Visit, ask questions and decide yourself. Your council can assess what care is needed, free: ask them first. This isn’t medical or financial advice.
What your agent does
- Asks what kind of care: a care home, a nursing home or care at home.
- Searches the Care Quality Commission (CQC) register and the NHS website for services near the place you chose.
- Reads each service’s latest CQC rating and inspection date on its CQC page.
- Brings back a shortlist with ratings, contact details and a link to each report.
Before you hand it over.
Can it tell me which one is best?
No. It reports what the inspectors found, and where, so you can compare them and visit the ones you like.
Does it cover Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
The CQC covers England. In Scotland the agent uses the Care Inspectorate, in Wales Care Inspectorate Wales, and in Northern Ireland the RQIA.
